Dan Carl Bostwick 6-19-03 I have a Duo-Therm furnace installed in a Casa-Villa park model camper. It is Model 65941-002, Serial Number L-87132. I purchased the camper new in 1986 and right now the direct spark ignition 120 VAC only does not start the furnace.
It is very hard to remove this furnace from it's area of installation as there is no room to get it out. I would like to check the ingnition rod and gap. After removing about 25 small screws I still have trouble removing the burner from it's housing. Will I have to get the entire unit out to continue? The unit is 17 years old, is this the life of these furnaces?
The unit blowes down into the duct work of the camper. Does this mean the unit will also have to be raise to get ot out? Could the burner only be removed from the rest of the housing? How can I disconnect the Ing. Wire and the sencing wire? Where can I get repair parts?

I held it for 5 minutes, then 45 with a spring-loaded clamp. Once i release it the pilot goes out and I cant even turn it to on? I can't understand why it turns out as if the gas/propone is terminated. However it should continue to get gas and light up the furnace once the thermostat is set. Any thoughts?

Old Duo Therm Camper Furnace
RV GMC Tioga Fleetwood, year 1978. It seems like it sometimes does not 'knock' and let the gas flow to the burner what leads to end the function after two tries of the control board. This happenes only on battery, does not happened on external source of voltage. On battery within the try to switch the valve ON if it does not switch and I knock on the valve with something, it switches the valve to ON position - mechanical 'help' from outside.

Get the Best of Both with Rinnai’s Demand Duo™ Rinnai’s Demand Duo™ Commercial Hybrid Water Heating System is the smart choice when it’s time to replace a standard tank. Featuring a part-tank, part-tankless design, the Demand Duo offers the best of both technologies in a quick and easy upgrade that delivers an endless supply of hot water. The Rinnai Demand Duo pairs a durable, energy-efficient 119-gallon storage tank with a Rinnai C199 tankless unit, creating a direct replacement solution with connections similar to most high-efficiency tanks that provides continuous hot water. This means the Demand Duo is simple to install and keeps pace with an establishment’s hot water needs – from brief, high-spike draws to a supply that is ready to go the distance, day in and day out. Greater Capacity + Longer Lifespan Because the Demand Duo’s heat source is placed outside the tank, it actually offers more water heating capacity than traditional units. Furthermore, the removal of the heating element from inside the tank eliminates thermal stress on the tank itself, lengthening the life of the unit and its ability to consistently output hot water. In fact, Rinnai’s warranty on the Demand Duo is twice that of traditional commercial tanks (6-year heat exchanger and tank, 5-year parts, 2-year labor), and it is backed with a No Risk Satisfaction Guarantee.
